1st August 2024 - We are very excited to tell you that we will be launching a new diabetes app called Digibete. This will replace the HealthZone UK app that we currently use over the next few weeks. It's free and has lots of features that HealthZone UK doesn't have! Click on the button here to find out more.
26th September 2024 - The ELSA study is screening children to find out if they are at risk of developing Type 1 diabetes in the future. Children aged 3 to 13 can have their blood checked for antibodies that are often found in people with Type 1 diabetes. If you are interested in learning more about this, please click on this link.
30th January 2026 - The Children's & Young People's Diabetes service has been informed by management that the board of NHS GGC has halted the planned move to Gartnavel General Hospital.
We have been told that the move is now proposed to be to the Barr Street (Old Woodside Health Centre - G20 7LR) facility.
We have been told that this will be a permanent move for the service.
The service is currently in discussion with management regarding the proposed move.
