On this page can be found some of the most currently talked-about topics in the diabetes community. Some of the information here will be found elsewhere on the website but we have also put it here to give it the status it deserves.
Of course the topic that we can't escape from in 2020 is coronavirus. This page gives the current advice on managing it and making sure diabetes doesn't become a problem.
As we can't do face-to-face contacts just now, video calling is the next best way of carrying out diabetes education. Near Me is the NHS video calling site and this shows how to access it.
Our own mobile App is the best way to send information to all of our patients. Please download it to your mobile devices - it's free!
Back To School:
As the coronavirus lockdown is slowly lifted, thoughts return to more normal things like getting back to school. We've had a lot of calls from both families and from schools about training of staff and what safety measures should be in place. Although we cannot visit schools to carry out training, we can and will provide training remotely. The videos and booklet on the "For Schools" page will form part of this as will video calls.
